Coconut cake. Homemade chocolate sauce. I cannot eat this creation (or even view this picture) and not think of my family. My grandmothers sure know how to make it; my grandfathers sure know how to eat it. And so this seemed to be the perfect post to honor my grandfather who passed away this Christmas. There was always a clean plate at the end of his meal--and especially at the end of dessert time. He has passed so many traits onto each generation of our family and one thing is for sure...we all got his sweet tooth. With each little treat, we will always think of him.
