Old Times, Good Times

Old friends, old times, and old music make for quite a fun weekend.

Never underestimate how nice it feels to reconnect.

Lofty Ideas

This NYC Loft is just incredible. Light. Bright. Clutter-free. I am in absolute awe.

I first spotted it in the book Small+Modern+Urban HOME, a nice little read reminding you that small spaces have an air of potential--not just an air of claustrophobia. I definitely agree with this concept! But as I adjust to NYC standards of living, I still need to tell myself this from time to time...

Rain, Rain

Things to be thankful for on a Rainy Day:

-Umbrellas
-The person who invented the umbrella
-Cheap rain boots
-Remembering to close your windows before leaving the house
-Huge, cozy, comfy socks
-RESTAURANTS THAT DELIVER

Pretty pretty prints...

I have a definite obsession with ethnic prints and think that these patterns (Ikat and organic blockprint) are absolutely spot-on.

Ahh, I heart Ikat.

Getting Warmer

Say goodbye to winter produce--markets are soon to be drowning in all the little lovelies that spring has to offer...

Travel Time

So. Much. Driving.

Yesterday was spent on the road. The long, long road that leads from NYC to North Carolina, that is.

Let's just say that I am thankful for Drive-Thru Starbucks' and mix CD's.

French Fare

Hier soir, date night brought mon petit ami and myself to Cafe Moutarde--an authentic little brasserie right here in Brooklyn. But we might as well have been on the Left Bank in Paris, perhaps at a little spot along Boulevard Saint-Germain. Really, it fooled me.

And I loved it.

These photos are a perfect pairing. Just like Cafe Moutarde's house wine and crepes...

Loving This:

Isn't this poster fantastic? I'm craving one. Definitely. I'm partial to the Brooklyn poster, but click here to explore the other cities as well.

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Today. Was. Awesome.

It was such a beautiful day--sunny, relaxed, and not a hint of wind. After a cold winter (and lots of recent rain), this weather was welcomed by all, I am sure.

Spring, please stay. I really like you.
