I'm grateful for a day off tomorrow. On the agenda: New York and photo-taking. Trust me. They go really well together.

Au Revoir, Gourmet...

Monday's announcement of Condé Nast closing Gourmet magazine was truly sad news. Gourmet is such a staple in the magazine world and its richness is unparalleled.

The photography always made me want to do two things: eat and take photos. I'm off to browse through the website and hopefully archive some of the images. Which means soon I will be hungry and soon I will be picking up my camera.

Gourmet, you will be missed!

Keep Calm and Carry On

I've been debating whether or not to keep up this blog. I've been putting more time into Art. About. Town. and am consumed with all things art... nothing to complain about there!

Yet I love the idea of a blog as a collage of all things pretty and inspiring, and so I think that's what i will continue to use this space as. Photos, design, food, etc.: all the things that bring happiness on a daily basis.

I will keep calm and carry on.

City Life

Thank you, Rain, for holding out! I was able to head to D.U.M.B.O. tonight with mon petit ami for the outdoor movie overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. It was a gorgeous night.

Okay, so it was more about the bridge & skyline than the movie itself. But with some wine, some friends, and a whole lot of view, you can't blame me...

Ahhhhh.

Brooklyn Heights

I had the privilege to work on a photoshoot for this home today--a renovated carriage house in Brooklyn Heights. It was was so functional, so quirky, and so spacious...really, such a joy to be in. I was with a wonderful team and was happy to be a part of the project!
